Melissa & Mark \ Late Summer Wedding at Garthmyl Hall, Powys

Orange brick stately home with pillared porch way

Melissa & Mark chose a "shades of pink" theme for their late summer wedding at Garthmyl Hall, Mid Wales. Originally a timeless blush and ivory colour palette, Melissa added a last minute splash of colour with touches of hot pink... and we are so glad she did!

The Personal Flowers

Melissa's bouquet contained a curated selection of our favourite pink garden style blooms; bombastic spray roses, ranunculus (the bride's favourite), butterfly ranunculus mixed with lemon scented wax flower, eucalyptus and white snowberries. The bouquet was finished with a botanically dyed luxury silk ribbbon with trailing ends in dusky pink.

We used matching ribbon on the buttonholes to create a thoughful and cohesive design style. The buttonholes contained bombastic spray roses, wax flower and eucalyptus to compliment the bridal bouquet and unify the designs.

The Venue Flowers

One of my favourite (of the many!) period features at Garthmyl Hall has to be the incredible entrance staircase! Being positioned right at the front of the property, where all of your guests can see it as the enter your wedding, means this staircase is just CRYING OUT for dressing with florals. A statement floral installation like this creates a real talking point and gives guests a sneak peek of what is to come later in the day!

The Reception Flowers

Melissa & Mark decided to keep their wedding breakfast tables elegant and paired back with an eclectic mix of candles and foliage, beautiful gold beaded charger plates and crisp white linen. The WOW factor was an incredible hanging floral hoop installation suspended over their guests heads, with trailing amaranthus tendrils and masses of lush foliage. Adding a pop of colour to an elegant white marquee really does work fantastically to create impact.

The guests sipped iced drinks in the late summer sunshine whilst the room was turned around for the evening reception. They then continued to dance the night away under our stunning hanging floral installation.

Congratulations Melissa & Mark!
