What an honour it is to make a couple's wedding flowers, not once... but twice!
That's exactly what we did for Liz & Phil! 23 months after their covid-compliant 6-person wedding, we did it all over again... This time with a few more guests!!
Liz & Phil had originally planned to get married in the south of France, but when covid put a stopper on their plans, they went ahead and got married anyway in a micro-ceremony at St. George's Hall in Liverpool. Nearly two years later, they were FINALLY able to celebrate with their family and friends with a handfasting ceremony, reception and partayyyy for their boho wedding at Calderstones Park, Liverpool.
Liz wanted her bouquet to look as through she'd spent the morning picking wildflowers from fields in the south of France and had casually thrown them together into a beautiful bridal bouquet (if only it were that simple!). We included subtle nods to the Mediterranean by using olive, lavender and eucalyptus and a floaty botanically-dyed trailing silk ribbon for ultimate "boho bride" vibes.
Phil's buttonhole contained a small cluster of flowers (to match those in the bridal bouquet) alongside scented eucalyptus and lemon-y waxflower. It was finished with the same silk hand-dyed ribbon.
As a surprise for Liz, the groom decorated the tree where the ceremony took place with lanterns, ribbons and tiny vases of flowers. The ribbons twirling in the breeze and the milessss of festoon lighting hung around the garden created a dreamy Midsummer's Night feeling!
We dressed the rustic trestle tables with scented foliage garlands, including Mediterranean foliage- eucalyptus and rosemary, and bud vases of dried flowers. Throw in some gold tapered candlesticks and the stunning garden backdrop, the effect was simply magical.
Congratulations Liz & Phil, it was definitely worth the wait!
