Here at Emma Jane Floral Design, we make no secret of the fact that we LOVE creating wedding floral arrangements at the award winning Stockton House. With its exceptional staff, mouth watering wedding breakfasts and impeccably restored period features; Stockton House is a wedding venue in a million! AND it is crying out to be dressed with flowers! Keep reading to find out our five favourite features to dress with flowers for weddings at Stockton House...
The Staircase
The number one spot was a no-brainer for me! Staircases have to be one of my favourite features to dress in a wedding venue, and the staircase at Stockton House is truly magnificent! It is sure to impress your guests and look stunning in photos as you make your grand entrance down the stairs for your wedding ceremony. A staircase installation is always a major impact piece.
The layout of the space at Stockton House makes it the perfect position for wedding signage; a welcome sign or table plan, your card box or even a guest book. Utilising the various rooms in the venue creates a more immersive wedding experience, where your guests journey through different spaces and enjoy various aspects of your special day in different settings.

2. Ceremony Focal Point
Whether your wedding ceremony will take place indoors or outdoors, a floral focal point can make a stunning addition! It will captivate your guests' attention, drawing your guests eyes towards you, as a couple, as you exchange vows and framing you beautifully in those essential photos.
Some of our most popular ceremony designs at Stockton House include; floral pillars, a "broken arch" flower installation,"moongate" arches, urn arrangements and grounded meadow nests. The beauty of floral designs like this is their versatility. They can be repositioned after your ceremony to be used as wedding reception décor giving the impression of a more flower-filled celebration and enhancing the overall floral theme of your wedding.

3. The Winter Garden Room
Stockton House offers the best of both worlds as a wedding venue, featuring stunning period details alongside a purpose-built wedding reception room called The Winter Garden Room. It's a perfect blank canvas ready to be decorated to your wedding theme BUT rather than being a plain white box it boasts the little features and finishing touches that bring warmth and character to a space.
Both round and trestle tables work well within this space, but I have to admit; I have a soft spot for a banqueting style table arrangement! Bud vases are a popular choice for table flowers at Stockton House, especially when combined with flickering candlelight to create a dreamy ambiance. We also love rose bowl centerpieces which have a timeless elegant look.

4. Photo backdrops
Photo backdrops have had a major rise in popularity at weddings over the last few years and we can certainly see why! They're a fantastic way of filling a little empty corner, making a special designated space for your guests to take their selfies. Dressing your photo backdrop with flowers continues your wedding theme throughout your wedding day, creating a cohesive design style and adds that extra special touch.

5. Welcome Flowers
The presence of flowers as your guests enter your wedding venue can set the tone for your wedding day with the fragrance of fresh blooms creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We always love dressing the beautiful period fireplace in Stockton House's entrance, as well as the many other gorgeous fireplaces throughout the venue! Taking the opportunity to dress the features of your wedding venue makes every room feel well thought out and your whole wedding carefully designed.
